Google Offers – Something For Vacation Rental Companies?

Posted by Adam Zippin on May 26, 2011 9:48:00 AM

First we saw YouTube blow up, and then it was all about Facebook and Twitter. The latest trend online is discount services like Groupon, LivingSocial, as well as Facebook deals. Now, Google wants to get in on the action.

Google is launching its new product ‘Google Offers’, and it is supposed to work just like the other discount deals-services. You subscribe to a certain city’s offers by using your email, and everyday you receive a notice about the discounts offered.

Google shouldn’t have a problem with finding businesses willing to sign up for their new service due to their close relationship with many businesses thanks to all their other products.

At Barefoot, provider of property management software, we suggest that a vacation rental company should look into Google Offers, since it presents a great opportunity to fill up properties in the off-season by offering discounts. Another advantage Google has over their competitors is that they are one of the largest Internet companies around with billions of users already. If you have any questions regarding Google Offers, or other Internet services, please contact us.

However, as of right now, Google Offers is just in Beta-mode, and is only offered in certain places, such as Portland, OR and New York City. We suggest that you keep an eye out for Google Offers, and find out when it will be offered in your area. Until then, utilize Groupon, LivingSocial and the other services available.
