Barefoot clients own their data. It is started very clearly in the subscription license between Barefoot and its clients:
1.1 Customer Data. Customer may upload and publish its own content to the Service. The parties acknowledge that all Customer Data used with the Service and the Barefoot Software and all data derived from such Customer Data is and shall remain the property of Customer. Barefoot has no right to use the Customer Data without written permission by Customer.
Barefoot will never provide data to any third-party sources without the permission of our clients to do so.
We have always believed that we should provide our client with choices in their third-party partnerships. That is why we have one of the largest partner programs in the industry. We do suggest that our clients who choose to work with third parties be diligent in understanding their contractual obligations to the third party and how their data will be used.
